We are a group of students from Temasek Polytechnic, currently pursuing a Diploma in Logistics and Operations Management(LOM).
In most of the industry, company's sales are determined on how efficient goods can be retrieved, packed and shipped on time. To support that, company must have equipments that are designed to assist in the picking and packing procedures. Therefore, by replacing and minimizing manual lifting and carrying with material handling equipments, it helps to improve the overall efficiency and productivity of the warehouse operations.
Material handling equipments also enable the company to maximise the space utilization in the warehouse. Unused ceiling space can be transformed into a busy corridor through the means of equipments such as cranes.
We have set up this blog to provide all with information on the various types of Material Handling Equipment(MHE) used in operations of the Logistics industry. We sincerely hope that the information we post on this blog will benefit all in their search for better understanding MHEs.
