Non-Powered Conveyor

A non-powered conveyor is the least costly method of transporting goods between points which available in skate wheel or roller configuration. It uses natural forces of inertia or gravity to facilitate the manual movement of materials. A straight decline of the conveyor will allow the goods to flow from a high to a lower elevation, and it can be used from carton flow, to loading or unloading trucks.

A skate wheel conveyor requires little energy for the wheels to spin independently which enables the product to maintain its momentum and speed. It is suitable for transporting products with flat and smooth bottomed surfaces such as cartons and trays.
As for a roller conveyor, it is more economical than a skate wheel conveyor and it is suitable to use in workstations where employees push their finished product to the next station.
